Here are my 5 top tips for getting better rankings in the search engines

1) Keywords - discover the keywords your market use and then create pages based on those keywords

2) URLs – make sure you name your web pages in a search engine friendly manner – for example what_is_search_engine_optimisation.html rather than page2.html

3) Content - make sure you have relevent content that is updated on your website on a constant basis.  Outdated sites don’t get ranked well.

4) Links - make sure you get link back from relevent sites.  Find sites that are in your niche but might not be direct competitors, ask to swap links

5) Nichify – don’t build a site that does everything. If your company has many products it might be best to create one site per product. For example I also offer life coaching, but have created a seperate site for this.
