As you may have read from one of my posts it’s essential that you have a mailing list. A mailing list allows you to build a list of leads who you then attempt to turn into prospects and eventually customers. Once you get loyal customers they will buy from you again and again.
Now having a reliable mailing list is essential. You need to make sure that the system you use is robust, allows those on your list to automatically subscribe and unsubscribe. It should also give you stats on how many people you have on the list, how many joined, how many unsubscribed and even more automation features (after all automation is key to running your website).
Over the past number of years I have used various mailing list packages, and the best I have found has been aweber. This system is trusted by some of the top money makers and markers online. What makes aweber stand apart is they have a very high deliverability rate. This means that out of 100 emails you might send out at least 90% or more will get delivered. This is essential. You see if you run your own mailing list from your own server and your server gets blacklisted then you’re finished. My advice is never to run your own mailing list. It may appear to be cheaper and a better idea but usually it ends up in tears!
Aweber is easy to use, although you do need to spend maybe an hour or two becoming familiar with the layout and how to actually set up your lists and the other options. However once you’ve set up your list and created your autoresponder sequence you’re away. For about a year I used a rival service but to be honest found it to be “clunky” and not as easy to use. Although I still have this other list service I’ve now moved everything over to aweber.
Remember there’s lots of solutions out there but many cost a few hundred dollars a year. Whereas you don’t need to pay more than $200 for all the services you need.
